The system features a Toploader fuel store, which provides an effective solution for delivering fuel by moving floor trailer. The floor empties completely, making ideal for sites without a telehandler for moving fuel around.
The boiler was integrated into the corner of the glasshouse. With the fuel store being a free standing structure, the civils works were kept to a minimum
The boiler was connected to the existing transport main to another greenhouse block. The boiler is controlled by the greenhouse computer system, and therefore produces only the amount of heat that is required. If the boiler cannot supply sufficient heat in cold weather, the transfer pumps are ramped up automatically to provide the additional load from the remote gas boilers. Load on the biomass is therefore always optimised, increasing the running hours and therefore the savings on fossil fuel and RHI income from the plant.
